TikTok alerts its 20 cr Indian users. The Chinese app will expand community guidelines for better transparency. Content against individuals, groups and religious sectors will be removed. Accounts of users under 13 will be deleted and misleading videos will be removed.
Strict action will be taken against content reflecting terrorism. India sent the maximum number of content removal requests in 2019. Last year witnessed107 requests from 143 accounts. 11 government requests were sent from 9 accounts.
