India’s electric scooter segment has a new entrant
Bengaluru-based Simple Energy is slated to launch its product on August 15
Named ‘Simple One’, it will get a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery
It claims a range of 240 kilometres in eco mode on a single charge
The e-scooter will allow the battery to be removed, meaning convenient charging options
It claims to hit 50 kmph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 100 kmph
The price could be between ₹1.10 lakh and ₹1.20 lakh
Subsidies may make the product even cheaper
