Amazon launches AWS Diagnostic Development Initiative for faster COVID-19 testing. $20 Mn has been raised for the same via Amazon Web Services (AWS). From big research bodies to startups, the project already has 35 participants. It will consider other infectious disease diagnostic works in the future.

Covid-19: Indian Railways converts train coaches into isolation wards. A move after discussing with the health experts. Non-AC coaches have been converted to isolation wards. Currently, one cabin will have one patient. If required, two patients will be accommodated keeping a safe distance. Cabins are arranged by removing the middle berth on the patient’s side & all three berths on the opposite side. Aims to prepare 10,000 isolation wards in 20,000 coaches.
