Chinese automaker BYD becomes the largest maker of ‘Face Masks’. BYD’s Shenzhen facility in China now produces five million masks a day. The plant also produces over 300,000 bottles of disinfectants daily. Covid-19 pandemic led to a surge in demand for Face Masks. China is world’s biggest mask producer.The country produced about 44.8 Mn masks in a day on February 2020. BYD is known in India for manufacturing electric buses.
