Tata Trust invites application for Malaria Quest. India Health Fund, an initiative of Tata Trusts, seeks product and process innovations to fast-track malaria elimination. The Quest aims to support and catalyze innovations to solve challenges in combating malaria. Applications must be submitted by registered and incorporated entities. Last date to apply is 2 September 2019.
KSUM to form Million Dollar Club to bring together top fundraised startups. The event will be held in Kochi on July 31. The club will have startups that raised funding at a minimum value of $10 Mn. Entrepreneurs who led the early seed stage of their startups will connect in the event. The meetup will have discussions on scaling up and other requirements. The meeting will also feature session on investment opportunities for the founders.
E-commerce giant eBay invests $165 Mn in PayTm Mall. eBay will acquire 5.5% stake in PayTm Mall as part of the investment. eBay’s global inventory will be available for 130 Mn users of PayTm Mall and PayTm app. PayTm Mall’s valuation currently stands at $3 Bn. PayTm Mall currently has 3 Lakh merchant partners and gets 2.25 Lakh orders per day.

Hackathon 2019, The flagship event of digital services provider RapidValue, was organised in association with Nasscom 10,000 startups and Kerala startup mission at the Kochi Integrated Startup Complex in Kalamassery. HDFC Bank, CSC launch credit card for small traders and rural entrepreneurs. The card will give users easy access to credit to meet daily business expenses. CSCs are IT-enabled service points connecting local population with government departments. There are 3.6 Lakh CSC (Common Service Centre) access points across the country. Currently, about Rs 70,000 Crore worth business is transacted through CSC networks.
