Make in India പദ്ധതിക്ക് പ്രോത്സാഹനം നൽകുന്നതാണ് ഭേദഗതി. സ്വാശ്രയ സമ്പദ് വ്യവസ്ഥയേയും സംരംഭകരേയും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. ഇന്ത്യൻ കമ്പനികളെ വിലക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ കമ്പനികൾക്ക് ഇവിടെ ടെണ്ടറിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനാകില്ല. ഇറക്കുമതി കുറച്ച് പ്രാദേശികമായ പ്രൊഡക്ഷനും, സോഴ്സിങ്ങും ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. സർക്കാർ വകുപ്പുകൾ അടുത്ത 5 വർഷത്തെ പദ്ധതികൾ മുൻകൂട്ടി ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യണം. 1000 കോടി രൂപയ്ക്ക് മുകളിലുളള പദ്ധതികളിലാണ് ഇത് ബാധകമാകുക. DPIIT ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച ഉത്തരവ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ വിവിധ വകുപ്പുകളിലേക്ക് നൽകി.
