Mother Dairy, Zomato join hands for doorstep delivery of farm products. The initiative will be rolled out in 11 localities in the Delhi-NCR region. Mother Dairy’s Safal outlets will distribute products under 10 km radius. Safal currently has more than 300 fruit & vegetable booths across Delhi-NCR. Safal sells an average volume of 270 tons of fruits and vegetables daily.

Private Equity firm TPG to invest Rs 4,547 cr in Jio. TPG will acquire 0.93% equity stake in Jio platforms.With this, Jio Platforms fundraising crosses Rs 1 trillion mark. Jio Platform’s equity value stands at Rs 4.91 Tn and enterprise value at Rs 5.16 Tn. Facebook, Silver Lake, General Atlantic, KKR, & Mubadala have invested in Jio earlier.
IIT-Kharagpur researchers develop AI system to track social distancing. The low-cost device is capable of measuring the distance between people. It will play proximity alert sound through audio output during close proximity. The device computes distance through imaging as per the Health Ministry guidelines. IIT Kharagpur’s Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) research group made the device.
Zee to donate over 200 ambulances, 40,000 PPE kits for COVID relief. The entertainment firm will help state governments with critical interventions. The relief package will be funded from the company’s CSR kitty. Zee had earlier announced financial support to over 5K daily wage earners. Zee will also provide 6,00,000 meals to 10,000 migrants.
