Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, എന്നിവരെല്ലാം ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വളരെ active ആയ നിക്ഷേപകരാണ്. Paytm, Ola, BigBasket, Byju’s തുടങ്ങി മികച്ച സ്റ്റാർട്ടപ്പുകളിൽ ചൈനീസ് നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ട്. ചൈനീസ് നിക്ഷേപത്തിന് കൂടുതൽ കടിഞ്ഞാണിടാൻ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ സംഭവവികാസങ്ങൾ കേന്ദ്രത്തെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കും. സൂക്ഷ്മമായ പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് ശേഷമേ ഇനി ഇൻവെസ്റ്റ്മെന്റ്കൾക്ക് അനുമതി ലഭിക്കൂ എന്ന് സൂചന.
Telecom Ministry orders BSNL, MTNL, private entities to ban Chinese equipment and deals. Old tenders will be cancelled and China will no longer be a participant. This would impact Telecoms’ 4G upgradation purchases. Private companies will be asked to reduce dependency on Chinese equipment in the future. Currently, Huawei and ZTE are China-based equipment makers with business in India.
India to launch a new rural employment programme targeting migrant community. Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan will cover almost two-thirds of migrant returnees. FM Nirmala Sitharaman said that the govt will spend Rs 50,000 Cr for the initiative. The scheme will focus on 116 districts across 6 states in India. Around 6.7 Million migrant workers will benefit from the job drive.
Google launches COVID-19 Playbook to help Indian startups fight the pandemic. Playbook will offer practical suggestions to address strategic & operational challenges. It is developed in collaboration with Blume Venture, Matrix Partners & Prime Venture Partners. Mental health app Wysa and hyperlocal startup Dunzo also collaborate with the project. In the last 2 months, Google helped more than 250 startups to limit the impact of Covid-19.
