Google Pay expands Nearby Stores service to 35 more cities across India. ‘Nearby stores’ helps users find the distance to the store, working hours and categories. Merchant establishments can notify their business hours and social distancing practices, too. In Kerala, the service can be accessed in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Google Pay also added cooking gas cylinder booking feature.
Facebook launches ‘Collab’ app to compete with TikTok. The app is released on iOS as an invite-only-beta. Users can make 3 short videos using different music instruments and combine them. Collab is developed by Facebook’s New Product Experimentation (NPE) group. Released in 2016, TikTok app has been downloaded 2 billion times.
