ADGP Manoj Abraham IPS said that cyber crimes against women have increased up to 300%. He was speaking at the She Power Virtual Hackathon, organized by channeliam.com in collaboration with the US State Department and World Learning. He said it’s high time we adhere to cyber hygiene. Also, women and children should be vigilant while using cyberspace.

Adv N.S. Nappinai, the Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court and Founder of ‘Cyber Saathi’, opined that there is a general perception that victims of cyber attacks are not in pain. Women, who are victims of cyberbullying, go through not only mental stress but also financial loss. She added that today women and children who become victims of cyber attacks can be assured of legal protection.
