ഡല്ഹി ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി ഇന്റര്നാഷണല് എയര്പോര്ട്ടില് എയര് വിസ്താരയുടെ ലോഞ്ചില് പാസഞ്ചേഴ്സിന്റെ സംശയങ്ങള്ക്കും അന്വേഷണങ്ങള്ക്കും മറുപടി പറയുന്ന RADA റോബോട്ട് രാജ്യത്തെ റോബോട്ടിക്ക് ഇന്നവേഷനില് പുതിയ വഴിത്തിരിവാണ്. ഇന്ത്യന് എയര്പോര്ട്ടുകളില് പാസഞ്ചര് അസിസ്റ്റന്റ്സിനായി ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ആദ്യ റോബോട്ടാണ് പൂര്ണമായി മെയ്ഡ് ഇന് ഇന്ത്യ പ്രൊഡക്ടായ RADA. എയര് വിസ്താരയിലെ ചീഫ് ഇന്ഫര്മേഷന് ആന്ഡ് ഇന്നവേഷന് ഓഫീസര് കൂടിയായ രവീന്ദര് പാല് സിംഗാണ് മള്ട്ടിപ്പിള് ഇന്ഡസ്ട്രി യൂസേജ് ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടുളള കോസ്റ്റ് ഇഫക്ടീവ് റോബോട്ടായ RADA യുടെ കീ ബ്രെയിന്.
ടിസിഎസിന്റെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ഇന്നവേഷന് ലാബിലായിരുന്നു റാഡയുടെ ഡിസൈനും ഫാബ്രിക്കേഷനും കോഡിംഗുമൊക്കെ നടന്നത്. പാസഞ്ചേഴ്സിന്റെ ബോര്ഡിംഗ് പാസ് റീഡ് ചെയ്യാനും, ഡെസ്റ്റിനേഷനിലെ വെതര് കണ്ടീഷനും ഫ്ളൈറ്റ് ഡിലെയും ഷെഡ്യൂളും ഉള്പ്പെടെയുളള കാര്യങ്ങള്ക്ക് കൃത്യമായ മറുപടി നല്കാനും റാഡയ്ക്ക് കഴിയും. ഡീപ്പ് ലേണിംഗും ആര്ട്ടിഫിഷല് ഇന്റലിജന്സുമുള്പ്പെടെ അഡ്വാന്സ്ഡ് ടെക്നോളജികള് കൂട്ടിയിണക്കിയാണ് RADAയെ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
കംപ്യൂട്ടര് എന്ജിനീയറായ രവീന്ദര് പാല് സിംഗ് ടെക്നോളജിസ്റ്റും ഏയ്ഞ്ചല് ഇന്വെസ്റ്ററുമാണ്. വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളിലെയും ബാങ്കുകളിലെയും ലോംഗ് ക്യൂകളുടെ മടുപ്പില് നിന്നാണ് സര്വ്വീസ് റോബോട്ടുകളുടെ ആശയത്തിലേക്ക് രവീന്ദര് കടക്കുന്നത്. മൈക്രോസോഫ്റ്റ്, അക്സഞ്ചര്, വിപ്രോ തുടങ്ങിയ ഐടി കമ്പനികള്ക്കൊപ്പവും ഏവിയേഷന് മെയിന്റനന്സിലെ ഗ്ലോബല് ലീഡേഴ്സായ എയര് വര്ക്ക്സിനൊപ്പവും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ച ശേഷമാണ് എയര് വിസ്താരയിലേക്ക് എത്തിയത്. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ സര്വ്വീസ് ഇന്ഡസ്ട്രിയില് വലിയ ഡിസ്റപ്ഷന് കോസ്റ്റ് ഇഫക്ടീവ് റോബോട്ടുകള് സാധിക്കും എന്നതിന് തെളിവാണ് RADA.
സ്ഥലപരിമിതിയുളള ഇന്ത്യയിലെ എയര്പോര്ട്ടുകളില് പാസഞ്ചേഴ്സിന് കൃത്യമായ ഡയറക്ഷന് നല്കുന്നതിലൂടെ അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് കുറയ്ക്കാനും പീക്ക് ടൈമുകളില് തിരക്ക് മാനേജ് ചെയ്യാനും കഴിയുമെന്നതാണ് റാഡ പോലുളള പ്രൊഡക്ടുകളുടെ ഡിമാന്റ് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നത്.
The TATA singapore joint venture airline, Vistara, created RADA using Artificial Intelligence technology at Indira Gandhi international airport, Delhi. At present, the robot can scan boarding passes and provide information on the terminal, departure gates, weather conditions of destination city, real time flight status as well as information about Vistara’s products and services. It can greet customers and interact with them using basic hand movements, and is capable of moving around in the lounge on predefined pathways. The robot is built on a chassis of four wheels, enabling it to rotate 360 degrees, and it has three inbuilt cameras for cognitive interaction. Combining these components with an effective voice technology, RADA is a complete made in India product and Ravinder pal singh, Chief Information and Innovation officer of Vistara is the key brain behind this invention. The designing, fabrication and coding of RADA were developed at the innovation lab of TCS at Thiruvananthapuram. Being frustrated with the long Que at banks and airport dived Ravinder pal Singh to this concept of service robots. A computer engineer graduate ,Ravinder Pal Singh is an angel investor and technologist.Prior to Air Vistara, Mahinder worked with IT companies like Microsoft, Accenture and Wipro. He also served as the global Chief Information and Technology office at air works, one of India’s leading providers of aviation maintenance repair and overhaul.
