Google to acquire analytics startup Looker for $2.6 Bn in cash. This is the first major acquisition under Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google cloud. The deal will be closed this year & Looker will join Google’s cloud division. Looker will add new analytics tools for Google Cloud’s customer. The deal will help Google deliver industry-specific analytics solutions in key verticals.
