Banking giant HDFC to acquire majority stake in Apollo Munich Healthcare Insurance. HDFC will acquire a 52% stake in Apollo for Rs 1,346.84 Cr. The company will later merge its general insurance arm with Apollo Munich. Apollo Munich is India’s second largest health insurance provider. HDFC recently became the third largest private sector general insurance company in India.
