Digital payments platform PhonePe to ban single-use plastics from more than its 40 Indian office. Plastic cups & plates where prohibited from office cafeterias during Diwali. PhonePe replaces plastic dustbins with biodegradable paper-based garbage bags. PhonePe is in line with the central government’s plan to free the country’s plastic by 2022. Bengaluru-based PhonePe currently has over 150 million users.
