YouTube is reportedly planning to shut down accounts that do not earn revenue. Youtube accounts that are not commercially viable will be removed along with the video content. Youtube has requested its users to update to the new terms and conditions. YouTube has stated that the existing settings will not be changed and that there will be no effect on the power of monetization.

Despite the rumors regarding the regulations coming into effect being strong, there have been no reports on the revenue of accounts that are likely to close.
