Hyundai introduces walking car concept at CES 2019. Part car and part robot, it is called Hyundai Elevate. It is the first Ultimate Mobility Vehicle (UMV) and combines autonomous mobility and EV technology. Comprises 4 robotic legs with wheels to walk, climb and drive.
Elevate stands out from normal vehicles with its legs transforming as per the terrain and need. Elevate is omnidirectional with four-sided access. It can climb a 5-foot vertical wall and can be effectively used on disaster zones or rough terrains.
Elevate comes of great help for people with disabilities. It has a battery capacity is 66 KWh.Integrated passive suspension system enhances battery efficiency is also a speciality. Modular Chassis Architecture with interchangeable bodies is another characteristic of Elevate.
