Covid -19: IIT Kanpur to develop low-cost portable ventilators using indigenous components

IIT Kanpur to develop low-cost portable ventilators using indigenous components. Nocca Robotics, a start-up incubated at IIT Kanpur, developed the prototype. Instead of the current market price of Rs 4 lakh/unit, this will cost only Rs 70K. It is a mechanical ventilator capable of operating in the pressure-controlled mode. It will be connected to a mobile phone for control & information display.  The device is capable of operating on its own in ambient air.
