Online communication sector, especially virtual learning, is an area where possibilities of digital communication are being experimented widely during this lockdown period. i-Classroom, a SaaS developed by Abhinand and Shilpa Rajeev, students of Govt Engineering College, Kannur, stands as a testimony to this. This virtual classroom software won the first place in the Motwani Jadeja National Hackathon.

Through iClass room, it is possible to virtually connect to any university or research institute in the world. What is interesting is that two engineering students from Kannur achieved this feat in the National Hackathon. These talents won the first prize worth $10,000 after introducing the idea of the modern virtual classroom at the Code 19 India Hackathon, conducted by the Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation.
Lecture recordings to assignment submissions made online
This idea that allows lecture recording to online submission of assignments and projects will be an asset to the education sector during the lockdown. At a time when tech ideas are getting global acceptance, the success achieved by the Government Engineering students of Kannur is remarkable. Abhinand is the machine learning lead of the startup Deep flow Technologies while Shilpa does an internship in machine learning.
