U.S motor company Harley-Davidson shuts down India operations
Comes as part of the company’s restructuring exercise under the ‘Rewire’ programme
Harley-Davidson India sold less than 2,500 units in the last financial year
This made India the one of its worst-performing international markets
In FY19, the sales of Harley bikes in India fell 22 per cent to 2,676 units
Other automotive brands like General Motors, Fiat, Ssangyong, Scania have exited India earlier
