Amazon invests Rs 225 crore in its Indian digital payments wing
Amazon Pay, the online payment business benefited from the capital infusion
Earlier in March, Amazon Pay received another Rs 225 crore from the parent firm
This takes the total capital infusion in Amazon Pay to Rs 450 crore this year
The investment comes at a time when India is pushing for digital payments owing to the COVID-19 outbreak
In India, Amazon Pay competes with the likes of Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay
