Twitter to appoint chief compliance officer within a week
New IT Rules for social media companies came into effect last month
As per rules, social media intermediaries have to appoint a grievance officer, a nodal officer and a chief compliance officer
Applicable to platforms with over 50 lakh users
Facebook and WhatsApp had agreed to it
