Bytedance has applied for a new trademark with ‘TickTock’ as the wordmark with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry
Bytedance is the parent company of TikTok
It applied for the trademark on July 6, 2021
The application is publicly visible on the website of the Controller General of Patents
The website shows the status as ‘marked for exam’
However, the service description suggests TickTock might be similar to TikTok
