The cabinet cleared amendments to the Deposit Insurance Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) Act

It will let customers access their deposits up to Rs 5 lakh within 90 days if banks go bust and are placed under a moratorium

A relief to the depositors of stressed banks

The cabinet also cleared amendments to the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Act

It will allow such entities to reap the same benefits as larger companies

The amendment would help hundreds of startups
