As of Mar 16, over 169,000 cases reported in more than 150 countries & territories.Death toll crossed 6,500; first confirmed death was on 9 Jan 2020 in Wuhan. Over 77,000 have recovered; but, the possibility of reinfection is reported. China, Japan have witnessed recovered patients testing positive again. The virus spread is spread from human to human similar to influenza. Mostly through respiratory droplets while coughing or sneezing.
Kerala govt has launched ‘break the chain’ campaign to fight COVID-19. It exhorts people to keep personal hygiene. Symptoms of Corona: fever, cough, shortness of breath. Solutions include regular handwashing, quarantine & safe distance. Keep at least one-meter safe distance from those with cough and sneeze.Immediate quarantine for the COVID-affected. Use face masks and tissue papers recommended by medical authorities.
