Pune-based startup Nocca Robotics develops low-cost ventilators. Contrary to current market price Rs 4 Lakhs/unit, Nocca’s products are priced at less than Rs 50,000. They are mechanical ventilators capable of operating in the pressure-controlled mode. Nocca Robotics, founded in 2017, is incubated in IIT Kanpur. The ventilators will be connected to a mobile phone for control & information display. All components of the ventilator will be locally manufactured. The device is capable of operating on its own in ambient air. Nocca Robotics aims to deploy 30,000 ventilators per month. India is in dire need of ventilators to treat COVID-19 patients.…
COVID-19: RBI to ensure cash availability in the country. RBI had already decided to give Rs1 lakh cr to commercial banks in four phases. An additional 60% fund will be given to states. RBI announced Rs 50,000 crore TLTRO 2.0 for NBFCs, MFIs. The reverse repo rate has been reduced by 25 bps to 3.75percent. There will be no change in the repo rate.

Reliance joins hands with Facebook to develop a Super App. The plan is to make a multi-purpose platform similar to Wechat. The app would combine digital payments, social media, gaming, flights and hotel bookings among others. Users could purchase groceries through Reliance Retail, use JioMoney and shop at Ajio. Facebook’s Whatsapp platform and user base will be leveraged for the same. The app would provide RIL with B2C engagement for its consumer businesses and insights on users’ spending habits.
