കൊറോണ: 30,000 കോടി വിപണിയിലേക്കെത്തിക്കാന്‍ RBI. ഓപ്പണ്‍ മാര്‍ക്കറ്റ് ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍സ് വഴി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സെക്യൂരിറ്റി RBI വാങ്ങും. രാജ്യത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക സ്ഥിതി കണക്കിലെടുത്താണിത്. മാര്‍ച്ച് 24നും 30നും ഓക്ഷന്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും. എത്രത്തോളം ഇന്‍ഡിവിഡ്യുവല്‍ സെക്യൂരിറ്റി വാങ്ങണം എന്ന് RBI തീരുമാനിക്കും.

ഡെബിറ്റ് -ക്രെഡിറ്റ് കാര്‍ഡ് ഉപയോഗത്തിന് പുതിയ നിയമങ്ങളുമായി RBI. കാര്‍ഡ് ട്രാന്‍സാക്ഷനുകളുടെ സുരക്ഷിതത്വം വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. എടിഎമ്മിലും പിഒഎസിലും മാത്രമാണ് ഡെബിറ്റ്-ക്രെഡിറ്റ് കാര്‍ഡ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കുക. ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണല്‍-ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ ട്രാന്‍സാക്ഷന്‍സിനായി കാര്‍ഡുകളില്‍ പ്രത്യേക സര്‍വീസ് ക്രിയേറ്റ് ചെയ്യും. 16 മാര്‍ച്ചിനാണ് നിയമം നിലവില്‍ വന്നത്. ഫീച്ചറുകളില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒന്ന് ഡിസേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യണോ എന്ന് നിലവിലുള്ള കാര്‍ഡ് യൂസേഴ്സിന് തീരുമാനിക്കാം. ഇതുവരെ ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ ട്രാന്‍സാക്ഷന്‍ നടത്താത്തവര്‍ക്ക് ഫീച്ചറുകള്‍ ലഭിക്കില്ല. ട്രാന്‍സാക്ഷന്‍ ലിമിറ്റ് എനേബിള്‍/ ഡിസേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യാന്‍ യൂസേഴ്സിന് 24 മണിക്കൂറും മൊബൈല്‍ ബാങ്കിംഗ് സേവനം ലഭ്യമാകും. കാര്‍ഡ് ദുരുപയോഗം തടയുന്നതിന് RBI ചട്ടം ഏറെ സഹായകരം.
Chinese automaker BYD becomes the largest maker of ‘Face Masks’. BYD’s Shenzhen facility in China now produces five million masks a day. The plant also produces over 300,000 bottles of disinfectants daily. Covid-19 pandemic led to a surge in demand for Face Masks. China is world’s biggest mask producer.The country produced about 44.8 Mn masks in a day on February 2020. BYD is known in India for manufacturing electric buses.

Corona: PM Modi announces formation of COVID-19 Economic Response Task Force. The task force will deal with economic fallout due to Coronavirus. Task force will be led by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Task force will regularly contact all stakeholders, obtain feedback and make decisions accordingly. Government is working on packages for affected sectors like tourism and aviation. Businesses across major cities and town are facing a slowdown. PM has asked people of India to observe a self-imposed curfew on March 22.

RBI issues new rules for debit and credit cards. An attempt to improve the convenience and security of card transactions. Debit or credit cards can only be used at ATMs & PoS devices within the country. Separate services should be set up on cards for international, online transactions. The rule was bought into effect from 16 March 2020. Existing card users can take a call on these features. Existing users who have never done online transactions will be disabled for this purpose. Users will have 24×7 access to Mobile banking service to enable & disable transaction limit. These rules will help in reducing the misuse of debit and credit cards.
