Tech Mahindra partners with Qualcomm Technologies for smart city solutions. US-based Qualcomm is a multinational telecommunications equipment company. The partnership is based on Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program. The program provides a central hub for smart cities solutions across regions and verticals. Tech Mahindra will integrate the cutting edge solutions from the program.

Kochi-based Maker Village bags the IP Rights National award. Maker Village won the Incubation Centre of the Year with Prominent IP Culture 2019. Maker Village received award for its contribution to the development of Intellectual Property. Kochi Maker Village is the largest electronic hardware incubator in the country. Indian card payment network RuPay to be launched in UAE. RuPay domestic payment network can be accepted at ATMs, PoS & ecommerce websites. Launch is scheduled during Prime Minister Modi’s visit at UAE this week. RuPay card can be used at PoS terminals across UAE. India had earlier launched RuPay in Singapore and Bhutan.
Analytics startup Zendrive raises $37 Mn from XL Innovate, others. Zendrive offers data and analytics-driven road safety solutions. Zendrive, founded in 2013, has offices in San Francisco and Bengaluru. Zendrive’s R&D center in Bengaluru has data scientists, engineering & product teams. The firm aims to launch FullStop, a mobile-powered risk solution. FullStop will help track road violations and is designed for automobile insurers.
