മാര്‍ച്ച് മൂന്നാമത്തെ ആഴ്ച മുതല്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ പൂട്ടിക്കെട്ടിയ ലോക്ഡൗണില്‍ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ആകെ നഷ്ടം 1 ലക്ഷം കോടിയോളം രൂപ വരും. ടൂറിസം, ഹോട്ടല്‍, ഹോസ്പിറ്റാലിറ്റി, ട്രാന്‍സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്, സപ്ലൈ , പ്രൊഡക്ഷന്‍ തുടങ്ങി സര്‍വ്വമാന മേഖലകളും സ്തംഭിച്ചതോടെ അക്ഷരാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ മുഴുപ്പട്ടിണിയിലായത് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളാണ്. നഷ്ടം ഒരു ലക്ഷം കോടിയോളം ലോക്ഡൗണ്‍ അടുത്തയാഴ്ച്ച പിന്‍വലിച്ചാലും സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ റവന്യു കളക്ഷനിലേക്ക് എത്താന്‍ സെപ്തംബറെങ്കിലും എടുക്കും. 21 സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ഏപ്രിലെ മാത്രം വരുമാന നഷ്ടമാണ് 97000 കോടിക്ക് മുകളിലുള്ളത്,. വരുമാനത്തില്‍ 70 ശതമാനത്തോളം ആഭ്യന്തര വിഭവങ്ങളെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന കേരളം , മഹാരാഷട്ര, തമിഴ്മാട് , കര്‍ണ്ണാടകം , ഗോവ തുടങ്ങിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളാകും ഏറ്റവും പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലാകാന്‍ പോകുന്നത്. കരകയറാന്‍ എത്ര നാള്‍ ജിഎസ്ടി, വാറ്റ്, സ്റ്റാംപ് ഡ്യൂട്ടി, എക്‌സൈസ്, റോഡ് ടാക്‌സ് തുടങ്ങിയ മേഖലയില്‍ നിന്ന് 70 ശതമാനത്തോളം വരുമാനം കണ്ടെത്തുന്ന കേരളത്തിന് ഈ മേഖലകളെല്ലാം അടഞ്ഞതോടെ ഉണ്ടായ ഭീമമായ വരുമാന നഷ്ടം താങ്ങാനാവാത്തതാണ്. കേന്ദം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പാക്കേജുകളാകട്ടെ സംസ്ഥാന…
By introducing beneficial financial packages, the central government is redefining the prospects for MSME sectors. General opinion is that micro, small and medium enterprises may benefit hugely out of this. The gesture of classifying enterprises on the basis of the amount of money invested, will be replaced by distinguishing them on the basis of turnover. More importantly, the MSME sector will no longer be split into manufacturing and service sector. Government liberalizes participation of private sector companies in all sectors. The move comes as a part of the announcement of new Public Sector Enterprises Policy. The new policy will widely categorizes all strategic sectors. Non-strategic Public Sector Undertakings will be privatized. In strategic sectors, there will be at least one PSU, but private entities will also be allowed.
Indian startups can now tap foreign investments by getting directly listed overseas. Startups can look for an overseas listing without listing in India first. FM Nirmala Sitharaman cleared decks for Indian companies for the same. Companies trading in discounts due to complexity of business may find better valuation overseas. Foreign investors can also avoid INR currency risks through direct listing.

Startups to be a part of ISRO’s space missions. Startups will work on food and medicine for astronauts in Gaganyaan-1 mission. This will help startups build products and solutions that they can exploit commercially. ISRO has identified 17 technology areas where startups can contribute. These will be incorporated in Gaganyaan-1 Mission. It includes a spacesuit and anti-radiation shield.

ProtectWell™ app screens for COVID-19 symptoms and clears employees for daily work. The app combines United Health’s clinical data analytics and Microsoft’s tech leadership. The app will be deployed free of charge for employees in the US.
