Lockdown: Kerala police launch shopsapp, a mobile app for essential commodities. Customers can order essentials from nearby shops using this app. Kudumbashree units can also take part in supplying provisions to customers. Flipkart joins hands with Uber for delivery of essential items. Aim is to provide essential commodities in the shortest time. Uber India commenced training sessions for driver-partners, provided them with masks, gloves and more. Currently, customers in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru will get the service. Uber also provides UberMedic service to help healthcare workers.

PepsiCo India commits 5 Mn meals, 25K COVID-19 test kits. The 5 Mn meals move comes as part of PepsiCo’s #GiveMealsGiveHope programme. Aims to lend a helping hand to the economically weaker sections of society. The firm has partnered with Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide meals to the destitute. With Smile Foundation, PepsiCo will provide dry food ration for 8K families. COVID testing kits will be deployed in collaboration with the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND).
