Optimistic about Indian startup landscape and growth prospects: US Consul Lauren Lovelace
Developed countries like the U.S. view India’s strong and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem with stanch optimism and hope, said US Consul Lauren Lovelace. A whole host of exciting entrepreneurial opportunities is unfolding faster than ever, and in more places than ever. When compared those from the rest of the world, Indian startups and women entrepreneurs in the country are better equipped to leverage the imminent opportunities, believes Ms Lovelace.
According to her, innovative business models and tenable growth of futuristic startups in the country have set off an exciting entrepreneurial revolution that’s remaking India’s global image and evolving the country as a global investment hub. There is a continuous surge in foreign investments in India, and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 has put added spotlight on India’s thriving startup scene. Women entrepreneurs are getting more proactive familial support and improved backing from government and VCs, Ms Lovelace said.She was speaking to Nisha Krishnan, CEO of Channel I’M, on the sidelines of Startup Meetup conducted in Cochin.
