Kerala is actively building a healthy startup ecosystem and Kerala Startup Mission, the nodal agency of Kerala government for implementing startup initiatives, plays a vital role in it. Kerala Startup Mission paves opportunity for startups with a viable product to build a network with multiple investors and helps them pitch investors for funding. Kerala Startup Mission aims to promote the startups which can solve the problems of the society.
There are various programs and events organized by the Kerala Startup Mission which aims at promoting startups to develop and commercialize their product in the markets. Mentoring is the buzzword today and KSUM brings eminent mentors to the Integrated Startup Complex at Kochi to foster and nurture budding entrepreneurs and impart valuable lessons on sale and marketing, how to pitch investors and more.
The flagship events of Kerala Startup Mission which happen on regular intervals are Investor Cafe and Meetup Cafe. Investor Cafe, which is organized on last Wednesdays of every month, is an excellent platform where startups can pitch VCs and angel investors for funding. On the other hand, Meetup Cafe is a networking platform for startups to build contacts with government officials, innovators, and entrepreneurs. It is a monthly meet up which happens in different parts of Kerala, i.e, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, and Kasargod.
Kerala Startup Mission also conducts events like Idea Day which provides grants to students for converting their ideas to prototype; IEDC Summit, the largest innovators network for college students; and Seeding Kerala, an investor meet for Kerala Startups and many more.
