Zomato successfully tests its drone food delivery technology. The drone covered 5 km in 10 minutes, carrying a delivery weighing 5 kg at 80 kmph speed. Zomato aims at faster food delivery through aerial route. Zomato acquired Lucknow-based drone startup Tech Eagle for the innovation. While it takes an average 30 minutes for biker fleet for delivery, a drone needs 15 minutes.
