I Love Nine Months, an app that provides complete solution for expecting moms

Pregnancy is a special time period for any women. It makes her complete. During pregnancy, every women undergoes certain physical and mental transformations. In nuclear families settled in cities, pregnant women are consulting the doctors regarding very small doubts on pregnancy. For such families, I Love 9 Months, a startup becomes the guide and helping hand.

A mother who works in the fitness and wellness industry and her daughter who was an aspiring entrepreneur together developed I Love 9 months, a socially relevant maternity wellness startup. Ganga Raj, her daughter Anjali Raj and Ganga’s sister Suma are captaining the startup. Suma has over 25 years of experience in healthcare operations in India and Australia. I Love 9 Months operates in Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad.

During her days at the management institute, Anjali took part in a competition. Ganga was heading a fitness and wellness studio at that time. Anjali noticed many women consulting her mother on exercises and wellness during pregnancy. Anjali found a business perspective in it. This led to the birth of the startup, I Love 9 Months.

I Love 9 Months was launched as a mobile app. The app received much positive reviews. A lot of people downloaded the app across various platforms. I Love 9 Months aims to empower the women in her days of motherhood.

Pregnancy is the time period when women demand more human interaction than technology. That idea led to the birth of ‘Birth Companion’ or ‘Sahodari’ Birth Companions are a group of trained individuals who provide physical and psychological assistance during childbirth.

I Love 9 Months team used to conduct awareness sessions to educate women regarding the importance of pregnancy. During such sessions, the common feedback from mothers was about the lack of proper spaces to breastfeed their children when outside home. It led to the idea of Breastfeeding Pod. Breastfeeding Pod is a cubicle that can be placed anywhere in public areas.In addition to this, I Love 9 Months also provides lactation pods. This facility is currently available in corporate offices. For moms who join offices after maternity leave, they can squeeze out milk and store them in the refrigerator during regular intervals.

I Love 9 Months is expanding to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The Kerala based startup won first place under the Healthcare category in the Indo-Israel Innovation Challenge. The startup was subject to much appreciation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Israelian counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu. I Love 9 Months is incubated in Kerala Startup Mission. The startups received funding support from KSIDC and grant from KSUM.

I Love 9 Months has signed a MoU with a Bahrain based home care company. The startup plans to start its Bahrain oriented operations on October.
