After the Diwali challenge, which was subject to national acclaim, Google Pay India is all set to redesign themselves. The platform is currently on process to reconstruct the theme and introduce ‘Gold Gifting’ option. Google Pay India will join hands with MMTC-PAMP for developing the new feature. The digitally acquired gold can be stored through Gold Accumulation Plan(GAP)
At times of need, users can convert digital gold into material form. The company is also in plans to launch a spot platform that integrates retail stores. Goibibo, Make My Trip and redBus will collaborate for this.
Google Pay India Managing Director Sajith Sivanandan said that online transactions worth $110 Bn is happening in India on an annual basis. The company also claimed that Google Pay led to UPI transactions growing 60 times in the country. Google Pay also said that they will soon venture into Bank Debit/Credit card support.
