National Startup Advisory Council to safeguard startups

Central govt announces set-up of National Startup Advisory Council. The new initiative will come of much help for the policy-making process of the Indian Startup ecosystem. Minister of Railways and Commerce Piyush Goyal will be leading the council. The council will have government representatives and successful startup founders as members.

Membership in the council is valid for two years period. Startups Ola and Byju’s may possibly become members. Central Government aims to encourage innovation among all including students. Focus will be on economic sectors, semi-urban and rural areas. Will solve unnecessary restrictions startups face. First meeting will be held before the 2020 budget.
