IT Department to map digital behaviour of taxpayers to create profiles
Under faceless scrutiny assessment, all interactions of a taxpayer & tax authority will be logged
Earlier, taxpayers had to sit with the assessing officer and resolve issues at one go
Penalties will be issued by the National E-Assessment Centre (NeAC)
The pilot phase of the faceless assessment scheme was launched in October 2019
