The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to launch a Swadeshi E-commerce app for small sellers
Aims to onboard 700K sellers by the end of 2021 and cross the 10 Mn mark by 2023 end
The app is an extension of CAIT’s e-commerce portal ‘Bharatemarket’
A venture in association with startup India division of DPIIT
The ‘Bharatemarket’ was announced in May 2020, however, its launch was delayed
Now, the portal’s launch is scheduled for March 11, 2021
CAIT represents 8 Cr traders and 40,000 trade associations in India
Bharatmarket will compete with portals like Amazon and Flipkart
