Google and Reliance Jio working closely to launch affordable smartphones, says Sundar Pichai
Both companies entered a deal last year to develop entry-level affordable smartphone
It will benefit a large population that remains deprived of smartphone and internet connectivity
Google had also bought about 7.7% stake in Reliance Jio for Rs 33737 crore
Google aims to invest a total of Rs 75000 crore in India over the next five to seven years
Sundar Pichai refused to comment on the launch and pricing details of the smartphone
