COVID Combat: MSME Ministry seeks support from entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs dealing with essentials needed to fight Corona are advised to inform the govt. A list comprising 39 medical supplies and 62 auxiliary supplies has been released. Concerned manufacturers/suppliers can inform the state govt/UT. They can also register as a supplier in Government e Market Place (GeM). Medical supplies list includes ventilators, alcohol-based hand rub, face shield, medicine and others. Makers of soaps, candles, mattresses, blankets, diapers and alike come under the auxiliary list. Lately, automobile manufacturers were asked to use their facilities to make ventilators. DRDO will start to manufacture 20,000 masks per day from next week. Now, over 14,000 ventilators & 11.95 lakh N-95 masks are earmarked for COVID-19 Patients.
