Serum Institute of India യുടെ വാക്സിനും പരീക്ഷണഘട്ടത്തിലാണ്.  1,700 volunteerമാരിൽ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ 17 ഇടങ്ങളിലായാണ് പരീക്ഷണം. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ 2.8 മില്യൺ ആളുകളെയാണ് ഇതുവരെ കോവിഡ് ബാധിച്ചത്.
