Wipro Infrastructure Engineering launches ‘sanitisation walkway’. ClearWalk, the walkway is a designer enclosure to sanitise people. Spray nozzles creating water particles sized between 50 to 100 microns will do the process. ClearWalk is designed in collaboration with DRDO. The product will be manufactured at Wipro’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.
Central Govt announces free ration for migrant workers for two months. Migrants who don’t have ration cards in the states they work will benefit. The Rs 3,500 Cr-worth move will help around 8 crore migrant workers. Govt also plans to launch ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ initiative. To help migrant workers draw ration from quotas of their families living elsewhere.

Working capital loan sanctions doubled- FM Nirmala Sitharaman. Public sector banks contacted above 95% firms for credit. PSBs have sanctioned loans worth Rs 5.66 lakh crore for over 41.81 lakh accounts in MSMEs. MSMEs in retail, agriculture and corporate sectors will benefit from the loan. Banks have also provided 3-month moratorium facility to over 3 crore farmers. Aim is to prevent liquidity crisis for businesses.

Date of Income Tax return filing extended till November 30. The deadline for all ITR filings for the FY 2019-20 is now November 30. The tax audit deadline is set for 31st October 2020. The Center reduced the TDS rate for non-salaried payments by 25%. The decision comes as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat package.

Uber asks drivers and riders to wear masks. Uber will also reduce the passenger limit to 3 from 4. The company will release updates in its driver and rider app to inform changes. Users or drivers who repeatedly violate guidelines may face deactivation of service. Every day, before starting work, drivers will have to post a selfie with face masks on.
JPMorgan Asset Management to raise $3 Bn for real estate credit. Funding for the Real Estate Credit Opportunity Fund will be raised from institutional investors. Target is 10% to 15% net returns investments in bonds and pools of loans in commercial real estate. Investment will cater to structured credit, rescue loan origination and performing & non-performing loan acquisition. The firm sourced over $100 billion of real estate equity and debt transactions in 2019.
