Mahindra launches their first automotive assembly plant, Mahindra Ideal Lanka, in Sri Lanka. The assembly plant is a collaboration between Mahindra Group & Ideal Motors Sri Lanka. The plant will roll out its compact sport utility vehicle KUV100. Mahindra Ideal Lanka will assemble KUV100 with a production capacity of 5K units. The joint venture will localise 4 components – batteries, tyres, seats and exhausts.

Govt, Tata Trust Join hands to develop a modern training and skill development centre. Tata Trust will build the infrastructure and run the centre at an investment of Rs 300 crore. The training institute will have the capacity to accommodate 10K students. The institute will provide new-age skills including factory automation, cyber security and more. The venture aims to create future-ready workforce who can change tech and digital environment.
Robot food service to launch at Bengaluru Restaurant. Restaurant will have 6 robots among which there will be 5 bearers and 1 usher. Each table will be equipped with a tablet in which diners can place their order. Robots are interactive and are programmed to sing wishes for special occasions. Central Government relaxes norms for shares with differential voting rights. Startups can raise capital from abroad while promoters can retain hold over the company. Companies can now have 74% DVR shares of the total post issue paid up share capital. Companies need not pay distributable profits for 3 years to be eligible to issue shares with DVR.
