In the first workshop held under WING-Women Rise Together, training was given to aspiring entrepreneurs and students in technical and knowledge sessions. WING-Women Rise Together is a programme by Startup India to support women to entrepreneurship. Experts from different fields led the workshop. 120 participants became part of the workshop. Govt launches BHIM 2.0 with additional language support & increased transaction limits. BHIM app is a UPI-based payment interface developed by NPCI for fund transfer. The new version of BHIM supports languages including Konkani, Bhojpuri & Haryanvi. BHIM 2.0 also offers increased transaction limits and linking multiple bank accounts.
Kerala Startup Mission organizes Wharton India Startup Challenge 2020. The event is targeting startups looking for exposure to a global audience. Reliance Jio unveils new plans that come with interconnect usage charges (IUC). New plans offer 2GB free daily data & free unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calls. Under new plans, Jio customer will not have to buy IUC top-up vouchers for making voice calls. Jio subscribers will have to make get additional top-ups to make off net calls. Jio has started charging customers 6 paise/minute for making calls to other operators.
