COVID -19 വാക്സിന്റെ വിലയിരുത്തലിന് ഇന്ത്യൻ ലബോറട്ടിയും. വാക്സിനുകളുടെ കേന്ദ്രീകൃത വിലയിരുത്തലിന് THSTI യെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. Translational Health Science And Technology Institute ആണ് THSTI. ബയോടെക്നോളജി വകുപ്പിന് കീഴിലുളള സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനമാണിത്. Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness for Innovation (CEPI) ആണ് ലാബുകൾ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്. കോവിഡ് വാക്സിനുകളുടെ വിലയിരുത്തലിനുളള ആഗോള ലാബ് ശൃംഖലയാണിത്. CEPI യുടെ ആഗോള ശൃംഖലയിൽ THSTI അടക്കം ആറു ലാബുകളാണുളളത്. കാനഡ, ബ്രിട്ടൻ, ഇറ്റലി, നെതർലാന്റ്സ്, ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നാണ് മറ്റ് ലാബുകൾ. വാക്സിൻ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളിലും ട്രയലിലും CEPI പ്രോട്ടോക്കോളാണ് ലാബുകൾ പാലിക്കുന്നത്. 30ലധികം വാക്സിനുകൾ വിവിധ വികസനഘട്ടത്തിലുണ്ടെന്ന് ബയോടെക്നോളജി വകുപ്പ്. രാജ്യത്ത് മൂന്നോളം വാക്സിനുകൾ ഹ്യൂമൻ ട്രയൽ ഘട്ടത്തിലാണുളളത്. പ്രീ-ക്ലിനിക്കൽ ടെസ്റ്റിംഗിന്റെ വിവിധ ഘട്ടങ്ങളിലാണ് പല വാക്സിനുകളും.
