കോവിഡ് : ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് 7611 കോടി അനുവദിച്ച് വേള്‍ഡ് ബാങ്ക് വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് 15 മാസത്തില്‍ 160 ബില്യണ്‍ ഡോളറിന്റെ എമര്‍ജന്‍സി ഫണ്ട് 40 രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സഹായമെത്തിക്കാനുള്ള നീക്കത്തിലാണ് വേള്‍ഡ് ബാങ്ക് പ്രതിസന്ധിയില്‍ നിന്ന് രാജ്യങ്ങളെ റിക്കവര്‍ ചെയ്യാനാണ് ശ്രമമെന്ന് പ്രസിഡന്റ് David Malpass പാക്കിസ്ഥാന് 200 മില്യണ്‍ ഡോളറും അഫ്ഗാന് 100 മില്യണ്‍ ഡോളറും നല്‍കും പ്രൈവറ്റ് കമ്പനികള്‍ക്കായി വേള്‍ഡ് ബാങ്ക് പ്രൈവറ്റ് സെക്ടര്‍ വിഭാഗം 8 ബില്യണ്‍ ഡോളര്‍ നീക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്
Emirates to resume passenger flights gradually. The airline would commence limited flights on April 6, 2020. Flights will initially carry travellers outbound from the UAE. It will carry people who wish to return to their countries. Emirates sky cargo will use these flights to support trade activities. Exact details will be announced by the airline major soon.

The Commerce Ministry sets up a help desk to solve export/import issues during Corona. Helpdesk is operationalised by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Exporters and importers can directly report issues through DGFT website or toll-free no: 1800-111-550. A proforma spreadsheet listing issues can be mailed at ‘dgftedi@nic.in’. DPIIT had earlier set up a control room to monitor the real-time status of delivery of goods.

Volkswagen India to set up a COVID-19 facility with 1,100 beds in Pune. Skoda Auto pledged Rs 1 Cr for the purpose. The facility will be set up at Sassoon General Hospital, Pune. Volkswagen will also donate 35K sanitizers to hospitals in Pune. Over 50K food packets will be distributed in Aurangabad region. Production of the reusable face shield is also on the cards.
