ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലെ ഏറ്റവും ജനപ്രിയ ഗെയിമായ Farmville ഒരിക്കലെങ്കിലും കളിക്കാത്തവർ വിരളമാകും. ഗെയിം പ്രേമികളെ നിരാശരാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് Farmville ഫേസ്ബുക്കിൽ ഇനി ഡിസംബർ 31 വരെ മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടാകൂ. 2009ൽ തുടക്കമിട്ട agriculture-simulation social network game ആണ് Farmville.  അമേരിക്കൻ സോഷ്യൽ ഗെയിം ഡെവലപ്പറായ Zynga ആണ് Farmville യുടെ നിർമാതാക്കൾ. ജനപ്രീതി ഉയർന്ന ഘ‌ട്ടത്തിൽ കൃഷി ചെയ്യാനും മൃഗങ്ങളെ വളർത്താനുമൊക്കെ 80 ദശലക്ഷത്തിലധികം പ്ലെയേഴ്സ് ഗെയിമിനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഡിസംബറിന് ശേഷം ഫ്ളാഷ് പ്ലെയർ അധിഷ്ഠിത ഗെയിമുകളെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നില്ലെന്ന ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് തീരുമാനമാണ് Farmville ക്കു തിരിച്ചടിയായിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതോടെ ഗെയിം ഫേസ്ബുക്കിൽ പ്ലേ ചെയ്യാനാവില്ല. Adobe എല്ലാ വെബ് ബ്രൗസേഴ്സിനും   Flash Player ഡിസ്ട്രിബ്യൂഷനും അപ്ഡേഷനും അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്. അതിനാലാണ് ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമിൽ ഫ്ളാഷ് ഗെയിമുകൾ ഡിസംബറിൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്.
