Department of Telecom notified rules for inflight connectivity. DoT approves TRAI to allow data & voice service in flights above an altitude of 3000 metres. Inflight Wifi rule to come in action from May 2019. Parties interested to provide Wifi on board aircraft to apply for license. Inflight network to use on-ground antennas or satellites available in airspace.
