His sprawling business conglomerate includes Reliance Industries, IPL team Mumbai Indians and Telecom giant Reliance Jio. Out of all of his ventures, Reliance Jio might be the most successful of all.
Overpowering the competitors
Jio had delivered a digital and industrial landscape revolution in the telecom industry. Almost every other Indian owned a Reliance Jio SIM card. Reliance Jio celebrates its third birthday on September 5 this year. Within three years, Jio overthrew all of its competitors with the help of its popularity among the masses. At its third anniversary, Jio is launching its new broadband plan, Jio Fiber which is expected to create magic in the broadband industry.
Jio Fiber features
Jio Fiber will sure create a disruption in telecom with its basic plan starting at a speed of 100 Mbps. This is when most of the developed nations including the US still has 90 Mbps basic speed. Jio Fiber also has a welcome offer for annual plan members which includes a free LED TV of HD or 4K resolution. Jio Fiber plans will be priced between Rs 700 per month to Rs 10,000 per month. The plan also comes with a unique feature of watching the First-Day First Show of the movie. This service will be launched in 2020.
Grasping the customers
Jio is also launching its set-top-box to Jio Fiber customers for accessing television services. The set-top-box reportedly enables game-play in 4K mode. Jio is planning to cover all areas of digital media and emerge as the monopoly in the Indian economy.
