The BMC is back with its controversial street parking scheme

Under this scheme, one will be charged for parking on the street outside the building

The scheme was put on hold for months during the lockdown

The fee will vary depending on the vehicle one owns and the area

24-hour parking spot for a four-wheeler will cost Rs 2,310 per month in a purely residential zone

In a semi-commercial zone, it is Rs 4,455 per month and Rs 6,600 in a purely commercial zone

For two-wheelers, the charge is Rs 990 per month in purely residential zone

In a semi-commercial zone, it is Rs 1,815 per month and Rs 2,785 in a purely commercial zone

There are separate charges for parking from 8 am to 8 pm, and from 8 pm to 8 am

Housing societies will have to buy monthly or annual passes to book parking spots outside their buildings
