YouTube has informed creators outside the US to fill tax information in their AdSense account
This will be based on the earnings they generate from viewers in the US
If a creator provides tax information, there will be a withholding between 0-30% on their earnings from the US
In India, the withholding rate is set at 15%
Upon failing to provide details, the company might deduct up to 24% of their worldwide earnings.
The new policy, which is in accordance with Chapter 3 of the US Internal Revenue Code, will begin in June 2021
The earnings are calculated from ad views, YouTube Premium, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Channel Memberships
